Prunus cerasifera. It is a vigorous, disease resistant rootstock and adaptable to varied soil types. Myrobalan is shallow rooted, yet well anchored. Recommended spacing is 12’ between trees and 20’ between rows. May be prone to suckering. Use this rootstock in heavy/wet soils, and stake well. Compatible with apricot, peach, and plum.
